"Content is king." You hear it all the time. All. The. Time. But what does it really mean?
Content is important for two main reasons. The first is for SEO-ability of your website and your business intent. The more content you have with relevant keywords the better for Google to pick you up and present you to the searching masses as relevant to them.
The second is because you need to establish yourself as an expert in your field. If you're building a business solving a problem in the construction industry, but you don't know anything about the construction industry, it's going to be a hard sell to your potential clients and customers that your solution is right for them. Presenting your thoughts, ideas, viewpoints and expert opinions, and also presenting others' views, ideas and expert opinions (via guests on a podcast or video or a guest blog post) will help establish why you know what you're talking about and why your business will help the people you're intending to help.
Content is king... But YOU have to be the Emperor. :)
